An evening at the unit, not a sales pitch.
A tasting is an evening at our Leighton Buzzard unit with the food we would cook for your wedding, offered before you confirm a booking where agreed. The table is laid, the bar is open and nobody rushes you. You leave knowing exactly how this kitchen cooks.
Most couples use the tasting to settle the shape of the wedding breakfast and the evening food in one sitting. The tasting is a small, separate agreement from the event contract, and the fee is credited against your event if you book, subject to the tasting terms.
The fine print, answered plainly.
Do you charge for tastings?
Yes, there is a tasting fee, and it is non-refundable. If you go ahead and book your wedding with us, the fee is credited against your event, subject to the tasting terms. The tasting itself is a small, separate agreement from the event contract, and we confirm the current fee in writing when you enquire.
Does a tasting hold our date?
No. A tasting does not secure your date. The date is only held once the catering contract is completed and the event deposit is paid. Because the tasting is a separate agreement from the event contract, we will tell you honestly where things stand if your date is in demand.
Who chooses what we taste?
We do. We put together a spread that shows the kitchen properly across courses and styles, and we may substitute dishes based on availability, cost or suitability. Tell us what you are drawn to and any dietary requirements in advance, and we will make sure the evening reflects them.
Where do tastings happen?
Tastings are held at our unit in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, where agreed once a booking is in prospect. The room is set up properly for it, with a table laid and a bar, so you can relax and take your time. We will agree a date and time that works for you both.
What happens after the tasting?
If you want to go ahead, you confirm by completing the catering contract and paying the event deposit within a short window after the tasting. Your quotation and booking documents set out the exact figures and dates. Once both are done, your date is secured and menu planning carries on from there.
This is general guidance. Your quotation, booking documents and contract set out the specific terms for your event.
From first taste to booked date.
